Following the kidnapping of two of Aleppo's prominent bishops - Greek Orthodox Archbishop Paul Yazigi and Syriac Orthodox Archbishop Yohanna Ibrahim - by a group of Syrian rebels from the northern Syrian town of Bshaqtin on April 23rd this poster has appeared in Sassine Square,one of the most prominent landmarks in predominantly Christian East Beirut.
The caption below the image states simply: "Release them now."
