Walked past this wee fella in Hamra the other day after practising a few dabke steps with some SSNP shabab lounging on Makdessi street.

| SSNP (Syrian Socialist Nationalist Party) posters, Makdessi street, Hamra. 05/03/2013. Khaled Alwan (pictured in the majority of the posters here) is a mainstay in SSNP political imagery. He is famous for having killed three Israeli soldiers in a Wimpy restuarant in Hamra in 1982. The event is commemorated every year by party members.  |
